camera happy saturday

vintage Christmas tree finials in the silver bowl i found at the thrift store.

one of the many found pieces of nature scattered around our home. i found this stick on the sidewalk outside our building.

Gimli, contemplating traveling...or maybe not. he'd rather just lay there.

bat girl ornament from Etsy

i found this gorgeous silver tray while thrifting yesterday. it is now for sale in my shop. it always amazes me how so many lovely silver pieces are just discarded, when they were at once held with such high regard.

I agree with what you said about silver pieces........such a shame. My mom refuses to part with a bunch of silver pieces from her mom and my dad's mom, such treasures to be sure. Again, love Gimli, what a handsome fellow! And the Batgirl ornament?!?.....way cool, as my girl Britt would say! :D Nice pictures! Brenda

Windows like yours cost an arm and a leg around here. Seriously!

Thanks so much for following me.

I love your little vignettes - although I'm sure Gimli would be terribly offended by that remark! ;)

I just love the way youy use nature (God's tresures) in the little touches you do in your home! I am like that too! It's simple, but yet so awesome in it's own way! The bat girl is just to cool!! Take care, Fran.

Oh I totally agree, how could anyone part with such lovely vintage silver pieces...but I guess that's our advantage then! I recently acquired a vintage silver cake stand and I am in love...

I agree about the silver. Its so true, they can be had for nothing, well almost. And some were lovingly hand made... some were cherished for generations and now they are piled in bins at junk sales.

So sad.

Fabulous finds {as always!} OMG, my great-grandmother had ornaments on her tree just like those that you found! I haven't though of those in years {warm fuzzies}. And nature is always such a nice refreshing touch. I need to start adding more to my decor!
