the fairy tale ending that hasn't ended

i'm sure you're probably tired of hearing me talk about this file box, but i just wanted to reassure you all that i have no plans to paint over the lovely patina of the box. honestly, it was just a passing "what if?", inspired by something i saw on another blog. it really is perfect just the way it is!

i also wanted to show you what the box looks like in actual daylight, though these photos are still a bit dark due to the poor lighting in our apartment.

as you can see i've wasted no time adorning it with some of my favorite magnets!

by the way, those gold toned picture frames stacked on top are my next project...
