this weekend has been an unusually calm one for me. unexpectedly, i got the entire weekend off, which is a good thing because i think i may be coming down with one of the many viruses being passed around as of late. apart from some much needed errands and cleaning, i have spent my weekend thus far trying to stay still. not necessarily not moving physically, but more staying still mentally. does that sound odd? i have been downing cups of hot green tea, reading some of my favorite home style books, taking a few photos around the home, lighting candles, and listening to classical music. it has been really nice!
how are you spending your weekend?

I hope you aren't getting sick!!! It sounds like you are having a perfect Saturday though. Keep sipping that tea and get plenty of rest my friend!
I hope that yucky virus bypasses you !!

I hope you're not. I got it about 2 months ago and was down for the count for 2 weeks.
Truly hope that you feel better soon! Your "stills" turned out great!

It sounds like you are having a nice relaxing weekend! I hope you are feeling better!
Mmmm....lovely pics! :) It's nice to have calm, relaxing weekends every now and then. :) Right now I'm listening to my toddler throw a tantrum...ugh...what a nice ending to a rather nice weekend. LOL! :) Oh, well, such if life! :) Hope to stay well...being sick is no fun.
PS...thanks for the super sweet comments on my blog! ;)
Smiles,
Rachel
Oh no! Praying you don't get sick! Or too terribly sick anyway. Please let me know if Wed. doesn't work out for you okay? Your Saturday by the way sounds lovely and peaceful, we, on the other hand have been "winterizing" our yard and all our deck furniture so not a real relaxing weekend but we got alot accomplished! :D Love ya! Bren
That sounds so relaxing!! I spent the weekend with a good friend and went to the theatre. We had a blast!!! Your day is one of my favorite ways to spend a day.
my parents used to use a camera like the one in your photo. i remember my dad always licked the flashbulbs before popping them in. don't know why. sweet blog!
Hope you're feeling better soon. I love the middle photo. Nice job.
Drink that tea and get some rest....smile~
Wow, outside of the not feeling so great part, your weekend sounds heavenly! I do hope all of that mental stillness has you back to tip top shape today :) I love your picture of the branch in the vase, I keep my branches out year round and I love them!
:) T
I love globe with the spools of thread in it. Very pretty!!!!
Sounds like you did the right things, and hopefully are well. I so get what you mean about staying still mentally. I have trouble calming my mind (read it refered to as a monkey mind somewhere). I have a recommendation for your terrific selection of books..The Find, by Stan Williams. Awesome shelter book with a giving side. And now I'm off to google 'steampunk'...hoping I won't feel A. old or B. embarrased that I have no idea what it is!!
I have found that staying home and relaxing (and taking Zicam, zinc cold remedy) always helps me fight off a virus, or at least, shorten it's lifespan! I hope you are on the mend. I love the photos, the branch in the jar especially, I have branches in vases all over my place right now! :)
Feel better soon!
Hope you're feeling better now! Just kicking back and spoiling yourself is the best medicine...I'm a medical professional, so you can *trust* me...I prescribe a weeks worth of just lazing about drinking bubble tea and reading blogs. Works for me every time!
Hugs,
Anne
Found you through Fionna and Twig, Good gosh, just love your blog!! Of course I had to add you to my sidebar for others to check you out! Blessings, Janna
